Kdrama Lines for Mental Health

Are you watching Kdramas short for “Korean dramas”? Do you remember the first Kdrama you watched? Mine is Secret Garden. That was way back 2009. I was a high schooler at that time. Back then, I was hooked on it because of my fantasies of meeting my knight in shining armor, marrying a prince or a rich, good looking guy, being known as a great philanthropist who wanted to make this world a much better place to live in and all those wishes upon a star. Now that I am an adult, I am slapped by reality - failures, rejections, doubts, and fears. I believe I am living earnestly but it is still not enough perhaps because life is like an amazing race game where you have to overcome one hurdle to another. When you close one chapter, the next one does not come with no worries but you will be confronted yet again with a different predicament. Life can be really exhausting. Thanks to Kdramas that they serve as a pause button in our demanding life. When I was young I was so immersed in the fairy tale-like side of Kdramas but right now I am deeply touched by those relevant life lessons it portrays. Here is my compilation of those lines which I believe are good for our mental health. I read this every time I am having a hard time. It inspires me, comforts me, reminds me to be bold about my aspirations, fills the void in me, and makes me realize life is still good. I truly hope the same for you.
